MWF22 North Quarry Carpark to Eastnor Obelisk and Back 17 May 2026
Starting at North Quarry Carpark the walk follows the zig zagging trails up to the high path with beautiful views towards Worcester and beyond. We follow around the side of the hills to the base of the Worcester Beacon and climb up and over the Beacon, stopping to admire the beautiful views towards Wales. We descend from the Beacon to the Wyche Cutting “named after the ancient salt route” here we can stop for toilets and to admire the Grade II listed Belvedere Bus shelter.
From there we head up over the hills past Jenny Lind’s House to British Camp. We will walk the lower paths with beautiful views of the reservoir and along the ridge until we drop down and head toward the Eastnor Castle Obelisk. At the Obelisk we will stop for refreshments and admire the view of Eastnor Castle before heading back via the Hereford Beacon, the “Pixie path” and St Anns Well.
Packed Lunches should be brought, suitable footwear depending on the weather, there can be muddy patches.
