Another successful Festival is over for another year.  Well over a thousand walks were completed  – here are just a few of the comments we’ve received:

“I thoroughly enjoyed all my walks; the scenery and the weather were glorious.  All the leaders were fantastic and I loved learning new facts about the area from them. “
“I loved the walks I joined.  Everyone has been very friendly and welcoming.”
“We all had a fabulous time, the walk was stunning;  we definitely want to return next year.”
“… even though I have lived in the area for more than 30 years I still learnt something.”
“loved the walks … and enjoyed the enthusiasm and knowledge of the Leaders.”
“Really enjoyable, nicely paced, informative, convivial”

Planning will shortly start for next year’s Festival, which will take place from Saturday 25th May to Sunday 2nd June 2024.

If you can’t wait until then, and want to discover more walks, a number of publications detail walks in the Malvern Hills area, notably a very recently (and therefore right up to date) published book by one of our volunteer walk leaders, Julia Goodfellow-Smith.  Its title is 15 Short Walks on the Malvern Hills, and it’s available in local bookshops or direct from https://www.cicerone.co.uk  Malvern’s Tourist Information Centre also has suggested walks in the area.

The Festival is run by a team of volunteers, who would welcome new members.  Please contact us via the website, http://malvernwalking.uk , if you would like to know more about running a Festival and joining the team.
