MWF72 Eastnor and the Southern Hills, Friday 2 June
Enjoy a walk through highly varied scenery around the west side of Ragged Stone Hill, through the remote hamlet of Whiteleaved Oak, and up to Chase End Hill, the most southerly of the Malvern Hills.
Thence via Bromesberrow estate and its lake, northwards past Little Woolpits to Eastnor, through the Eastnor Park and up to the Obelisk, for outstanding long distance views.
Finally, down to the lake at Gullet quarry before climbing Midsummer Hill and returning to Hollybush.
Great views from Chase End and Midsummer Hills and from Eastnor Park. Pretty villages of Bromesberrow and Eastnor.
Total ascent of 1754 feet, including long ascent to the Obelisk, a steep ascent to Midsummer Hill and a steep descent afterwards. Ten stiles.
