Passing the Chase pub, we’ll drop down into Colwall via the Downs School and continue to the Lime-pits. Here we’ll take a slight detour to view the remnants of the open cast mining and well. Returning to the path, we’ll walk towards Mathon Lodge, continuing through the Lodge Park to arrive at the Brewers Tavern. A very short stretch along the road takes us to a path up onto the hills, crossing the ridge south of the Worcester Beacon. A steep downhill past the Wyche pub returns us to the car park.

Generally easy but with a long(ish) incline up on to the ridge.

Public toilets located near to car park. Should the Brewers be open, then we are happy to stop for a ‘swift half’ and use of facilities.
