30 days to the start of the Festival

We’re delighted that bookings are going well, with over 40 walks sold out and four out of every five places booked.  (If you have booked a walk, but find that you have to cancel, we’d be very glad to hear from you so that someone else can take your place).

We have two offers to tell you about, but first, if you haven’t booked yet, a few suggestions.

Many of the Strenuous or Hard walks are full, but that still leaves a dozen still available, including:

  • T01 Worcestershire Way in 3 days
  • MWF51 Border Country, an attractive walk exploring the undulating countryside between West Malvern and Cradley
  • MWF55 Ragged Stone, covering the southernmost of the Malvern Hills
  • MWF71 and 72, both taking in Eastnor and the southern hills, but one shorter than the other
  • MWF88 Three Peaks to enjoy the glorious views from the Northern Hills

Moving on to the walks rated Moderate, themes available include:

  • the effects of Quarrying on the Hills (MWF86);
  • Geology (MWF41 & 89);
  • an exploration of the sites of 5 hospitals built to accommodate D-day casualties (MWF61);
  • the countryside and villages to the west of the Hills (MWF93);
  • the countryside around Bromyard (MWF53).

Widening choice out to walks rated Easy, we can add farming (MWF68);  and history including Colwall  (MWF73) and the history represented by the Eastnor Obelisk (MWF36).
