Planning for the 2023 Festival is well under way, with over 50 of our expected 60-70 walks arranged. As in previous years, the choice is wide, from short local strolls to long distance multi-day walks and including morning, afternoon, evening and all-day walks.

Many have particular themes: History and Archaeology; Geology and Quarrying; Nature and Botany; Radar; Canals; a visit to the Worcester Fish Pass; Brewing and Cider; Music; the Arts and Literature – with many references to notable people, buildings and events associated with the area.

Each walk is graded, from Gentle to Strenuous, so no-one need let themselves in for more (or less) than they can handle. For the very fit and energetic there’s the ever popular “The Malvern Hills, End to End and Back”. Even better (or worse depending on your point of view) is the 31-mile “Worcestershire Way in a Day”. If that’s too daunting, there’s the option again this year of walking the 31 miles over 3 days
